At the moment of centennial celebrations of Anti Malaria Campaign, I wish to express my warm wishes to them, in their efforts to eliminate malaria from Sri Lanka by 2015. Today Sri Lankan health care service is being looked upon by other countries due to its commendable achievements in health indicators. Elimination of malaria from the country will further heighten this status.

Considering the economic impact of this illness, elimination of malaria will pave the way to the achievement of the concept of His Excellency President Mahinda Rajapaksha, "Sri Lanka: the Miracle of Asia".

In this elimination phase of malaria from the country, as the Minister of Health, I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to all staff members of the Anti Malaria Campaign for their untiring effort.
